Glenda Wood DeLoach Waters, age 72, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, June 15, 2015 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Waters was born March 13, 1943 in Jeff Davis County to the late Glynn Felton Wood and the late Ola Belle Williams Wood. She was a Homemaker. She is preceded in death by her Sons, Steve Edenfield, Glynn Burnsed; Grandson, Todd Matthew Harrelson; Brothers, Howell Wood, Roy Wood, Bobby Wood; Sister, Doris Howell. Survivors include her Husband, Gerald Waters of Hazlehurst; Five Daughters, Cindy Sellers of Hazlehurst, Darla Kay Harrelson of Claxton, Sadie Cook of Claxton, Windy Rogers of Vidalia and Regina Vidricksen of Kansas; Three Sons, David Phillips of Port St. Lucie, FL., Chuck Burnsed of Statesboro and Billy Edge of Hazlehurst; Sisters, Betty Deloach of Claxton, Evelyn Hewett of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Jean Brannen and Barbara Hendrix both of Hazlehurst; Brother, Jim Wood of Ray City; Sixteen Grandchildren, Ten Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Tuesday June 16, 2015 at 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11:00am at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Waters will lie in state at the Church one hour prior to service.
