Gwen Davis, age 47 of Hazlehurst, died April 12, 2013 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Davis was born February 12, 1966 in Augusta but had resided most of her life in Jeff Davis County and was a member of First Community Church in Alma. Survivors include her husband, Michael Hugh Davis of Hazlehurst; Son, Brandon Porterfield of Hazlehurst; Mother, Glenda Martinez of Houston, TX.; Father, James Hall of Lumber City; Brothers, Glen Hall and Chris Toler both of Hazlehurst; Mother-In-Law, Joan Davis of Hazlehurst and Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 7:00-9:00PM at Wainright Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Lumber City Church of God at 3:00pm with Rev. Dale Carver and Rev. David Deen officiating. Interment will follow in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Davis will lie in state at the Church 1 hour prior to service.
