Mr. Harold "Hal" J. Gibbs, age 84, of Uvalda, died Thursday, February 06, 2020 at Lumber City Nursing Home.

Mr. Gibbs was born May 25, 1935 in Uvalda to the late Harold L. Gibbs and the late Gladys Johnson Gibbs.  He was a retired Asst. Vice-President/Head Teller with Altamaha Bank and Trust and was a member of Uvalda United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred Gibbs Sammons, Kathryn L. Gibbs, Mary Gibbs Kelhear, and brother, Myrick A. Gibbs.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Merritt Gibbs of Uvalda; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Ray Yawn of Hazlehurst; granddaughter, Holly Yawn Chaney (Tyler); grandson, Joshua Yawn; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Chaney and great-grandson, Alec Chaney.

Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 09, 2020 at 2:00pm at Eureka Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Creamer officiating. Interment will follow in the Uvalda City Cemetery.

Mr. Gibbs will lie in state one hour prior to service.
