Harold N. Joyce, age 79, of Lumber City, died Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Dublin. Mr. Joyce was born January 16, 1935 in Wheeler County to the late Lonnie Joyce and the late Mary Thomas Joyce. He was a Veteran serving in the United States Navy during the Korea Conflict, a Carpenter and a member of the Lumber City Baptist Church. Mr. Joyce is preceded in death by his Granddaughter, Debra Taylor Colson, Brothers, Byron, Robert and Joel, Sisters, Bernice and Lois. Survivors include his wife, Christine Joyce of Lumber City; Daughter and Son-in-Law, Marie and James Davis of Hazlehurst; Sons and Daughter-in-Law, Charles Buttram of Birmingham, Alabama and Richard and Nancy Joyce of Acworth; Brother, James Joyce of Dublin; Grandchildren, Rhonda and Mike Sellers, Joshua Buttram, Ashley Joyce and Katelyn Joyce; Great-Grandchildren, Donovan Dickie, Mika Pearson, Harrison Pearson, and Meredith Ryals; Great-Great Grandchildren, Mikigh Ryals, Zyier Ryals, and Kenely Harrison; several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Lumber City Baptist Church at 11:00am with Rev. John Daughtery officiating. Interment will follow in Palms Memorial Garden. The family may be contacted at the residence, 1390 Tom Haley Road, Lumber City. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Harold N. Joyce, age 79, of Lumber City.
