Helen Audrie Cox, age 90, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Cox was born September 14, 1922 in MacClenny, FL. to the late Richard Gid Cox, Sr. and the late Conetta Joyner Cox. She had resided in Hazlehurst for the past 25 years and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Beverly Ann Sweeny and Jacquelyn Audrie Strickland and son, Kenneth Wayne Croft. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rachel (Steve) Land and Brenda (Wesley) Butler both of Hazlehurst. Sisters, Betty Ward of Jacksonville, FL, Margaret Holt of MacClenny, FL. and Phylis Tathum of Jacksonville, FL.; Brothers, Gene Cox of Cross City, FL., Richard G. Cox, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL. and Robert (Bobby) Cox of Titusville, FL.; 10 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday at Southside Baptist Church at 10:00AM until service time. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:00AM at Southside Baptist Church with Dr. Ben Glosson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
