Mrs. Inez Carter McDaniel, age 96, of Hazlehurst, died Friday August 03, 2018 at the Pavilion in Baxley. Mrs. McDaniel was born March 06, 1922 in Jeff Davis County to the late Ernest Carter and the late Dessie Branch Carter. She was a Homemaker and member of Oak View Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Mr. Otho McDaniel, son-in-law, Wilbur Parlor, sister, Thelma McDaniel and brother, Buddy Carter. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Georgia Sharpe, Corine and Herman Sellers, Cherry and E.H. Claxton and Lydia Parlor all of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Marilyn McDaniel of Hazlehurst; sisters Mancy Lou Williamson of Hazlehurst, Pearl Cain of Spring Hill FL, and Marie Varnadore of Auburndale FL; eleven grandchildren, twenty nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 05, 2018 at 3:00pm at Oak View Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Yawn and Rev. David Barber officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. McDaniel will lie in state one hour prior to service.
