Mrs. Iris Anne Houston, age 76, of Hazlehurst, formerly of Cairo, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.

Mrs. Houston was born in Cairo on August 08, 1946.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George Thomas (GT) Harrell and Alma Rosebud Andrews Harrell.

She was a true Homemaker, she loved spending time with her family, she enjoyed arranging floral pieces, and taking good care of her two special kitties, Splenda and Truvy.

Survivors include her husband, Elzie Ray Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Ray Googe of Hazlehurst; her son and daughter-in-law, Connie and Elzie Harrell Houston of Leesburg; two grandchildren, Logan (Crystal) Houston and Alex Googe.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Church Morgan officiating.

The Houston Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
