Mr. Jack Clifton (Pie) Rentz, age 77, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Community Hospice of Vidalia. Mr. Rentz was born September 16, 1938 in Jeff Davis County to the late John Preston Rentz and Thelma McNeal Rentz. He was a Retired Farmer and Supervisor at Hazlehurst Mills and member of Oakland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Carolyn Brewer Rentz and Brothers, Preston Rentz, Donnie Rentz, Jimmy Rentz and Calvin Rentz. Survivors include his wife, Fannie Lou Rentz of Hazlehurst; Son, David (Linda) Rentz of Lakeland, Ga., Daughter, Jackee (Greg) Wigley of Hazlehurst; Step-Daughter, Rhonda (Gary) Jones of Hazlehurst; Step-Daughter-In-Law, Denise Summerlin of Hazlehurst; Grandchildren, Trey Wigley of Hazlehurst, Chelsea Wigley of Hazlehurst, Ali Rentz Johnson of Stockton, Ga. and Samantha Rentz of Lakeland, Ga.; Great-Grandchildren, Emma LeAnn Johnson of Stockton, Ga., Gracie Johnson of Stockton, Ga. and Carson Rentz of Lakeland, Ga.; Brothers, James Robert (Dob) and Pat Rentz of Hazlehurst and John (Kathy) Rentz of Hazlehurst; Sister-In-Law, Martha Rentz of Hazlehurst, Mary Rentz of Salem, Alabama and Myra Rentz of Hazlehurst; Step-Grandchildren, Kelly Brown of New Orleans, Louisiana, Brian Summerlin of Hazlehurst, Jamie Lynn Jones of Hazlehurst and Drew Jones of Statesboro, Ga; Many special Sister-In-Laws, Nieces and many Friends also survived. Visitation will be held Monday, May 23, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakland Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Hulett and Rev. Robert Wigley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Rentz will be placed in the Church one hour prior to Funeral Services.
