Jackie Stokes Simpson, age 75, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Simpson was born August 24, 1939 in Jeff Davis County to the late Willard Stokes and late Rhoda Cato Stokes. She was retired from Amercord and member of Eureka Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Hugh Simpson, Sister, Brenda Kight and Niece, Gina Parlor Williams. Survivors include Three Sons, Grady Simpson, Chuck Simpson and Danny Simpson all of Hazlehurst; Sister, Donna Dunn of Uvalda; Eight Grandchildren, Four Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home at 2:00pm with Rev. Ryan Herrington officiating. Interment will follow in the Dead River Cemetery in Montgomery County. The family may be contacted at the residence, 15 McDaniels Street, Hazlehurst.
