Mrs. Jacquelyn Mathis, age 74, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Bacon County Hospital in Alma.

Mrs. Mathis was born June 12, 1945 in Florida to the late Larry Thrasher and the late Anna Lois Robinson Wiltse.

She was a retired Secretary and a member of Grace Community Church of God.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Michelle Brown and brother, Dennis Brown.

Survivors include daughter, Dara Lawson DeVaughn (Shannon) of Ocala Florida; Kevin Wade Mathis (Tabitha) of Hazlehurst; sisters, Fredia Garcia, Vanessa Green, and Tashia Moorhouse; brothers, Asa Brown and Jodie Brown; six-grandchildren, two-grandfurbabies, several nieces and nephews also survived.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 10:00am and funeral will follow at 11:00am with Rev. Chester D. Koffroth and Rev. Kelly Anderson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.
