James Edward Carelock, age 65, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday November 24, 2013 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. Mr. Carelock was born April 29, 1948 in Jeff Davis County to the late Raymond Adrian Carelock and the late Lucille Henderson Jump. He was a Construction Supervisor and member of the Oak View Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Carelock. Survivors include his wife, Linda Carelock of Hazlehurst; Three Sons and Daughters-In-Law, Adrian (Selena) Carelock of Baxley, Charles ( Heather) Carelock of Lumber City and Chad Carelock of Hazlehurst; Sister, Lois (A.C.) Merritt of Hazlehurst; Brother, Ronnie (Ruby) Carelock of Hazlehurst; Four Grandchildren William, Coby, Troy and Wyatt Carelock. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Oak View Baptist Church at 3:30pm with Rev. Charles Davis, Rev. Merle Webster and Rev. Keith Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family can be contacted at the residence, 79 LL Sellers Road, Hazlehurst.
