Mr. Edward Dyal, age 87, of Snipesville, died Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Dyal was born in Jeff Davis County to the late Vane Hamilton Dyal and the late Alma Wooten Dyal Crockett.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict and was retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural letter carrier.
He was a member of Mt Pleasant Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Shelly Laine Dyal and step-father, Freeland Crockett.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Clevonia King Dyal of Denton; son and daughter-in-law, Vane and Theresa Dyal of Denton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Driskell of Denton, Susan and Wendell Johnson of West Green and Karen and Jeff Vann of Hazlehurst; brother, Obby Dyal of Lake City Fla; two sisters Evelyn Long of Lake City, Fla and Anne Osteen of Cedar Key Fla;
Six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survived.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 11:00am at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Dyal family and Wainright Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to wear a mask and follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
