Mr. James Collice Morton, Jr., age 74, of Alma, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at his residence.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Elbethel Church with Dr. Tommy Huddleston officiating.

Mr. Morton was born December 23, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late James Collice Morton, Sr. and Dorothy Fowler Morton. He was a Vietnam veteran having served with the United States Army. He retired after many years as a Physician Assistant.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Morton of Alma; two sons, John Everett (Susan) Morton, Sr. of Albany and Phillip Morton of Morgan City, Louisiana, four grandchildren. John Everett Morton, Jr., Annabelle Morton, Madison Morton and Aiden Morton; a sister, Janice (Danny) Parrott of Conyers, two nieces, Ashley Wood and Olivia Blevins, the 95-year-old twin sister of his mother, his aunt, Doris Hobson. Also, special mention to Donna's family whom he loved, her 90 year mother, Alice Hobeika, Lucy (Dr. Tommy) Huddleston, Rebecca MaColly, Rachel Janowski and Stephen Huddleston.
