James Barney Scruggs, Jr., age 81, of Ellenwood, Ga. died October 01, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Scruggs was born September 13, 1934 in Jasper Alabama to the late James Scruggs Sr. and the late Pearl Scruggs. He was a Graduate of the University of Alabama, retired Engineer and member of Glen Haven Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Williams. Survivors include his wife, Alice Jane Hearn Scruggs of Ellenwood, formerly of Lumber City; Three Daughters, Faith Elizabeth Scruggs, Mary Kathryn Scruggs and Pamela Joy Scruggs; Two Nieces, Charlotte and Hannah. Graveside services will be held Monday, October 05, 2015 at 3:00pm at Fishing Creek Cemetery in Telfair County with Rev. Al Butler officiating. Family may be contacted at the residence of Inez Varnadoe, 84 Ed Varnadoe Road, Lumber City.
