Mr. James Madison Simpson, Sr., age 69, of Thomasville, GA passed away Friday, November 29, 2019.

Mr. Simpson, the son of the late Joseph Benjamin Simpson and Dorothy Towns Simpson was a native of Cairo, GA.  He was a truck driver, and was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Copeland Simpson, and brother Jimmy Atkins.

Survivors include a special friend, Patricia Bell and family of Moultrie; daughter, Christy Granger of Brunswick; sons, James M. Simpson, Jr. of Boston, GA, and Michael Simpson of Chuluota, FLA; brothers and sisters, Mary Owens of Hilan Homes, AL, Kathy Creamer, and Brenda Brown of Hazlehurst, Steve Atkins of Bainbridge, and Donald Simpson of Waycross; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grands.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 2, 2019, in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home from 2 till 3 p.m. prior to the funeral service at 3:00 p.m.  The Rev. Keith Yawn will officiate with interment to be held in the Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery.
