Janice Waters Johnson, age 63 of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Ms. Johnson was born March 20, 1953 in Jeff Davis County to the late Jimmie Waters and the late Mildred Newsome Waters. She was a Homemaker and member of Baxley Holiness Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Johnson and Granddaughter, Danielle. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Johnson and Billy Wooten of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Teresa Johnson of Hazlehurst; brother, Ronnie Waters of Hazlehurst; eight Grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 2:00pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Rilene Folson, Mr. Darrell Johnson and Rev. Billy Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Ms. Johnson will lie in state one hour prior to service.
