Mrs. Janice Hughes Prescott, age 65, of Douglas, died Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at McRae Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Prescott was born October 13, 1954 in Jeff Davis  County to the late Joe Hughes and the late Merleen Dunn Hughes.  She was retired from Walmart Distribution and a member of True Light Ministries. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Hughes.

Survivors include her husband, Marcus Prescott of Tennessee; daughter, Mandy Davis of Douglas; brother, Ken Prescott of Douglas; sisters, Belinda Hughes of Warner Robins, Linda Faye Tanner of Alma, Susan Walker of Alma and Tish Kelly Naegele of Atlanta; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survived.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home,  visitation will begin at 1:00pm and funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Dr. Ricky Roberts officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
