Mrs. Jeanette Carelock Anderson, age 91, of Denton, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at her grandson's residence in Brunswick.

Mrs. Anderson was born May 11, 1929 in Coffee County. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie P. Carelock and Agnes Snipes Carelock, son, James Anderson, sister, Evelyn Brewer Peterson and little brother, Ottis Carelock.  She was a loving grandmother, homemaker and was retired from Edenfield Food Services. At the age of 12 years old she became a member of Union Springs Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and training union classes at an early age.

Survived by two grandsons, Jeremy (Nikki) Anderson of Brunswick and Justin (Kristy) Anderson of Brunswick; nephew, Billy Brewer of Hazlehurst; six great-grandchildren.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 22, 2021 at 11:00AM at Union Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Merle Webster and Rev. Alvin Merritt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that contributions be made to the Hazlehurst Court Care and Rehabilitation Activity Center.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Anderson family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to wear a mask and follow the social distancing set by our local health district and the CDC.
