Jerry Leon Kirkland, age 65, of Nicholss, died Sunday, March 04, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. Mr. Kirkland was born December 31, 1952 in Coffee County to the late Vickers Kirkland and the late Dorothy Batten Kirkland. He was a Cotton and Peanut Farmer and member of Pineview Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Beth Mobley Kirkland of Nicholls; sons, Cody Kirkland (Jaycee) of Nicholls and Chase Kirkland (Caitlin) of Nicholls; brothers, Thomas Kirkland of Hazlehurst and Wayne Kirkland of Hazlehurst; granddaughter, Kensley Kirkland; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 07, 2018 at 3:00pm at Bridgeford Church of God with Rev. Craig Jump and Rev. George Paulk officiating. Interment will follow in the Wilcox Cemetery in Nicholls. Mr. Kirkland will lie in state one hour prior to service.
