Mr. Jerry Thompson, age 67, of Lumber City, died Monday, March 25, 2019 at Community Hospice House in Vidalia. Mr. Thompson was born October 08, 1951 in Telfair County to the late William Lewis Thompson and the late Louise Elizabeth Screws Thompson. He was a retired Fiber Optic Project Manager and a member of Lumber City Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Powell Thompson, two daughters, Serena Thompson and Candace Brown, and sister, Linda Thompson. Survivors include two daughters, Holly Thompson (Van Williams) of Statesboro and Heidi Toler (Josh Zacher) of Six Mile, SC; brother, Larry Thompson of Lumber City; twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. John Daughtry officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Jerry Thompson, age 67, of Lumber City.
