Jessie Leah Hall Pearson, age 89, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Lumber City Health & Rehab. Mrs. Pearson was born January 4, 1924 in Appling County to the late Elam Hall and the late Sophie Ogden Hall. She was a former co-owner of H & H Office Supply, a member of Satilla Free Will Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Melvin Pearson, Sr., Sister, Juanita Tillman and brothers, Cecil Hall & Estus Hall. Survivors include her daughter, Gwen Pearson of Hazlehurst; son, Mel (DeLaine) Pearson, Jr. of Camden, SC; Brothers, Jack Hall of Sapulpa, OK and Vernard Hall of Brunswick; Grandchildren, Lt. Jeff (Megan) Pearson, Wendy (Scott) Brinley, and Lauren (Zach) Hoffman; Great-Grandchildren, Garrett Pearson, Landon Pearson, & Ava Brinley and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1:00pm at Satilla Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
