Jessie Thomas Sellers, age 89, of Fort Valley, formerly of Hazlehurst, died Monday, April 25, 2016 at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins. Mr. Sellers was born October 04, 1926 in Jeff Davis County to the late Lewis Washington Sellers and the late Bertie Virginia Stone Sellers. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines serving during World War II and he was a retired Foreman with Warner Robins Airforce Base. He was a Scottish Rite Mason and was a member of the Hazlehurst Masonic Lodge #283 and a member of Oak View Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Jean Wommack Sellers. Survivors include Son and Daughter-in-Law, Jessie Timothy and Sherrie L. Sellers of Fort Valley; Daughter, Cynthia Lynn Herndon of Hazlehurst; Granddaughters, April (Joel) Caldwell, Shelly (Patrick) Alexander, Jamie Ellis and Karlee (Travis) Wilson; Six Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Oak View Baptist Church with Visitation starting from 10:00-11:00am and Funeral Services starting at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the Palms Memorial Garden. Contributions can be made to the Masonic Childrens Home, 1417 Nottingham Drive, Macon Georgia 31211.
