Jevene Brown Settles, age 75, of McRae, died Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Dodge County Hospital in Eastman. Mrs. Settles was born May 11, 1939 in Dodge County to the late Judson Brown and the late Sallie Mae Brown Settles. She was a House Wife and member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Rhine, Ga. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hamilton Settles. Survivors include two Daughters, Cheryl Gomez of Bronson, FL. and Susan Roberson of Milan; three Sons, Gerald Settles of McRae, Donald Richard Settles of Hazlehurst and Danny Settles of Milan; Fourteen Grandchildren and Fifteen Great-Grandchildren also survived. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 06, 2015 at 3:00pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Rhine Ga. with Rev. Troy Maddox and Rev. Tim Moorehouse officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Settles will lie in state one hour prior to service. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Jevene Brown Settles, age 75, of Hazlehurst.
