Mr. Jimmy Brown, age 82, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday April 02, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah. Mr. Brown was born September 18, 1936 in Jeff Davis County to the late Eugene Brown and the late Eudell Beecher Brown. He was previously employed with Worth Monument and a member of Satilla Free Will Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Hilda Brown and Roy Brown. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Guess Brown of Hazlehurst; daughter, Ann Brown (Stacey Hayes) of Hazlehurst; three sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Cindy Brown, Shane and Helen Brown and Cody and Carol Brown all of Hazlehurst; sisters, Virginia Holloway of Macon; brothers, Billy Brown of Hazlehurst, Gerald Brown of Hazlehurst and Tommy Brown of Hazlehurst; Nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 05, 2019 at 3:00pm at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Brazzell officiating. Interment will follow at Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Brown will lie in state one hour prior to service.
