Joan McDaniel Davis, age 72, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, January 09, 2017 at her residence. Ms. Davis was born October 11, 1944 in Jeff Davis County to the late Hugh Malone McDaniel and the late Lucille Hazlip McDaniel. She was retired Secretary/Bookkeeper with Silas Worth Monument and member of the Lumber City Church of God. She is preceded in death by a sister, Gail Covington. Survivors include two Sons and Daughter-in-Law, Jeffrey Wayne Davis of Hazlehurst and Michael Hugh and Kimberly Davis of Hazlehurst; Sister, Rosalind Wilson of Gainesville; Grandchildren, Kylie Edge, Cole Edge and Summer Sellers. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Oakview Baptist Church with visitation starting at 1:00-2:00pm and Funeral will follow with Rev. David Deen officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the residence, 123 South Hugh McDaniel Road, Hazlehurst.
