Mr. Joaquin Escalera age 53 of Denton, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

Joaquin was born in Guanajato, Mexico to Mr. Donaciano Escalara Garcia and Mrs. Natalia Mares Contrera. Joaquin worked very hard to provide for his family. He had many talents in the work field such as landscaping and forestry. He loved his family and when he wasn't working, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law; Angel Escalera and Maria Hernandez of Denton; several brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Wainright Parlor Funeral Chapel beginning at 4:00 PM.
