Mr. John H. Edmonson, age 79, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, November 20, 2017, at his residence. Mr. Edmonson was born May 15, 1938, in Jasonville, Indiana to the late John C. Edmonson and the late Maude Rodgers Edmonson. He was a retired School Bus Driver with Jeff Davis County Board of Education and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Hazlehurst. He is preceded in death by his sister, Gretchen Stefanski and brother, Gary Edmonson. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Edmonson of Hazlehurst; daughters; Susan Wiley of Hazlehurst and Judy Clemons (Shane) of Zanesville, Ohio; sons, Kevin Edmonson (Julie) of Zanesville, Ohio and Alan Edmonson (Linda) of Hazlehurst; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survived. Memorial Services will be held Friday, November 24, 2017 at 2:00pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Baxley, 20 Kingdom Hall Road, Baxley, with Mr. Alan Edmonson officiating. Interment was in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. The family can be contacted at the residence, 21 K Street, Hazlehurst.
