Mrs. Johnita Ruth Dykes, age 74, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.

Mrs. Dykes was born October 08, 1945 in Bacon County; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Lonie Rewis and the late Mrs. Ruby Taylor Rewis, brother, Ronnie Pete Rewis. She was a Homemaker, loved to cut grass, loved cooking and listening to gospel music. She was formerly employed with Hazlehurst Mills and was a member of Grace Community Church.

Survivors include her husband, Marcus Dykes of Hazlehurst; two brothers, Donald Rewis (Norma) and Bobby Rewis; sister, Vickie Adams (Joel); several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held Monday, August 24, 2020 at 11:00A.M. at Hazlehurst City Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Greer and Rev. Josh Carter officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Mr. Marcus Dykes, P.O. Box 1535, Hazlehurst.
