Johnny Harper, age 79, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Harper was born June 14, 1934 in Coffee County to the late Jack Harper and the late Edna Ann Dykes Harper. He was retired from Hazlehurst Mills working in Research and Development Department and a member of Hazlehurst Church of God. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jackie Jacobs and his son, Fred Harper. Survivors include his wife, Betty Harper of Hazlehurst; Two sons, Tony Harper and Curtis Harper both of Hazlehurst; Sisters, Floreace Faircloth of Ulee, Fl. and Martha H. Pridgen of Lumber City; Ten Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild and 20 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 11:00Am in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor with Rev. Nathan Smith and Brad Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Palms Memorial Gardens.
