Joseph L.A. Bourgoin, Sr., age 67, of Douglas, died, Monday, March 31, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Bourgoin, was born January 12, 1947 in Brumswick Maine to the late Joseph Bourgoin and the late Lillie Maude Selph Bourgoin. He was retired from Coffee County Gin and was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by brothers, John Bourgoin, Alvin Edge, Harry Edge and Larry Edge. Survivors include his wife Alice Deaton Bourgoin of Douglas; Two sons, Percy and Lonie Bourgoin and Joseph Jr. and Lorie Bourgoin both of Thomson; Two daughters, Vrenda Campbell and Rebecca Deaton both of Thomson; Three brothers, Robert Bourgoin, Albert Bourgoin and Kenneth Bourgoin; Step-Brother, Grover Edge; Three Sisters, Shirley Bourgoin, Rebecca Vaughn and Sue Jackson; Twelve Grandchildren, Six Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, April 1, 2014 at 6:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Family may be contacted at the residence, 113 Sun Hill Lane, Douglas, Ga.
