Mr. Joseph Norman Johnson, 83, of Lumber City passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 29, 1937 in Jeff Davis County to the late Joseph Johnson and Kathryn Norman Johnston. Mr. Johnson was a founding member of Elbethel Church in Hazlehurst and attended Shiloh Methodist Church in recent years. He owned and managed Johnson's Office Solutions for 58 years, where he enjoyed greeting his customers and serving his community. He also loved to spend time with his family, work in his yard, and garden. Mr. Johnson will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him and will forever be remembered for his generosity and integrity.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years: Maxie Jo Mimbs Johnson; two sons: Derek (Cindy) Johnson of Lumber City and Zachary (Deborah) Johnson of Hazlehurst; five siblings: Brenda Graham of Hazlehurst, Bill (Teresa) Johnston of Hazlehurst, Kaye (Ronnie) Harrell of Hazlehurst, Libby (Sonny) Stanley of TN, and Joe (Patti) Johnson, Jr. of TN; four grandchildren: Lindsey, Dallas, DeAnna, and Jared Johnson; and special caregiver: Winifred "Freddie" Nails. He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle: Everett "Joe" Norman; and aunt: Ethelyn Norman.

A private family service will be held in his honor, and he will be laid to rest at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery.
