Mrs. Joyce Elizabeth Haggard, age 85, of Lumber City, passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at her home.

Mrs. Haggard was born November 4, 1934 in Telfair County; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late, John Henry Ward and Mary Gladys McLean Ward, her husband of 55 years, Earl James Haggard, and a son, Danny Varnadoe. She worked for many years in various nursing homes and hospitals around Georgia and was also a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Outlaw, Darice Varnadoe and Vecha (Jimmy) White, a son, Jonathon (Taylor) Goss all of Lumber City, six grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Riverside City in Lumber City with Rev. Johnny Taylor officiating.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Powell, Chris Cooprider, Ralph Brown, Drake Moore, Bradley Ivey and T.C. Roberson.
