Mrs. Joyce Thigpen McNeal, age 69, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Community Hospice in Vidalia. Mrs. McNeal was born March 04, 1948 in Uvalda to the late Green Berry Thigpen and the late Grace Graham Thigpen. She was previously employed with Jeff Davis Bank and Secretary and Owner of Altamaha Marines. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pete McNeal and brother, James Franklin Thigpen. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Sandi McNeal of Hazlehurst; sisters, Shelby Jean Donaldson of Uvalda, Loretta Truett (Charles) of Uvalda and Connie Grace Sowell (Kenneth) of Vidalia; Brother and Sister-in-laws, Johnny and JoAnn McNeal of Hazlehurst, Wilma and Ray Clark of Acworth, and W.A. and Ruth McNeal of Hazlehurst; two grandchildren, Grayson Hunter McNeal and Alex Keller McNeal; several nieces and nephews also survived. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Carter officiating, with visitation to follow after service. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Community Hospice and American Cancer Society. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Joyce Thigpen McNeal, age 69, of Hazlehurst.
