J.T. Bryant, age 74, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, August 08, 2015 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. Mr. Bryant was born February 23, 1940 in Jeff Davis County. He was a retired Truck Driver with Hazlehurst Mills and member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Pat Bryant of Hazlehurst; Daughter, Denise Compton of Texas; Son, Thomas Bryant of Illinois; Step-Daughter, Vicki Stalvey of Alabama; Two Sisters, Jerrelle Dykes of Hazlehurst and Willene Reed of Fla.; Several Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. David Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakview Baptist Church Cemetery. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for J.T. Bryant, age 74, of Hazlehurst.
