Obituary

Juanita Minchew Williams, age 87, of Lumber City, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Williams was born June 21, 1927 in Jeff Davis County to the late Ben Minchew and the late Nettie Lee Beasley Michew, but had resided most of her life in Telfair County. She was retired from Bowens Drug of Lumber City and was a member of Lumber City Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Archie Williams, her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Brewer and son, Donnie Williams. Survivors include Daughter and Son-In-Law, Peggy and Stan Carr of Eatonton; Son and Daughter-In-Law, Ronnie and Gina Williams of Glenwood; Four Grandchildren, Ricky Waters, Beth Williams, Brad Williams and Cole Williams; Four Great-Grandchildren, Cody Waters, Kayla Waters, Easton Gibbs and McKinzie Williamson and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 3:00pm at Lumber City Baptist Church with Rev. John Daughtry and Rev. Glen Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City. Mrs. Williams will lie in state one hour prior to service. The family may be contacted at the residence, 89 Oak Lane, Lumber City. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Juanita Minchew Williams, age 87, of Lumber City.
