Ms. Judy Bohannon, age 73, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, July 01, 2021 at Hazlehurst Court Care under the care of Community Hospice.

Ms. Bohannon was born October 16, 1947 in Jeff Davis County.

She is preceded in death by her parents Weldon Bohannon, Eunice Foskey Bohannon, sister, Betty Turner and brother, Roy Bohannon.  She was formerly employed with Amercord and a member of Oakland Baptist Church.

She loved taking care of and cooking for her family, everyone that came to her house they had to eat with her, she loved going to church and she will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include her son, Jason Bohannon of Hazlehurst; two grandchildren, Austin Bohannon and Ava Bohannon; one great-grandchild, Blaine Austin Bohannon to arrive in September; several nieces and nephews also survived.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:30-7:30pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 07, 2021 at Oakland Baptist Church at 2:00pm with Rev. Royce Hulett and Rev. Keith Yawn officiating.

Ms. Bohannon will lie in state one hour at Oakland Baptist church prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the Liberty Community Church Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Staff and employees of Hazlehurst Court Care and Community Hospice.

Active pallbearers will be George Beecher, Kyle Beecher, Kelvin Bohannon, Deric Bohannon, Craig Rowell and Scotty Orvin.

The Bohannon family and Wainright Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
