June Estella Syck Carter, age 81, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, July 15, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Carter was born July 8, 1932 in Pikeville, KY to the late Ervin Syck and the late Velma Alice Sunderland Syck and was the widow of Rev. Hilliard Carter. She was retired from Amercord, a veteran of the United Sates Army and member of Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include Daughters and Son-In-Law, Suann (Jack) Rowell of Hazlehurst, Jeannie Carter of Baxley and Joy Carter McLendon of Hazlehurst; Sons and Daughter-In-Law, Danny Carter and Mark (Cindy) Carter all of Hazlehurst; Brothers, Toby (Betty)Syck of Arizona, Howard (Lynn) Syck of South Carolina and Mike Syck of Ohio; 10 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements for June Estella Syck Carter, age 81, of Hazlehurst, are under the direction of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
