Mrs. Karen Barnard Edge, age 68, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.

Mrs. Edge was born July 05, 1954, in Jeff Davis County.

Her parents, David Levi Barnard, Madie Lou Griffis, and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Karen was a simple person who enjoyed the little things in life, like sitting in a swing on a sunny day. She enjoyed fishing, reading, and listening to music and was very much a people person. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Alvin Barto Edge of Hazlehurst; son, Chad Shepherd of Hazlehurst; brother, Curtis Barnard (Judy) of Nichols; granddaughter, Jenna Shepherd; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11:00 am at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Charles Carter and Rev. Nathan Greer officiating.
