Kathryn Newham Waters, age 64, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Waters was born April 9, 1950 in Jeff Davis County to the late Wallace Newham and the late Ocie McEachin Newham. She was a retired Bus Driver with Jeff Davis County Board of Education and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include her Husband, Wayne Waters of Hazlehurst; Daughter and Son-In-Law, Sam and Jason Richardson of Hazlehurst; Son and Daughter-In-Law, Roy and Renee Waters of Hazlehurst; Sister, Ann Johnson of Hazlehurst; Brother, Walter Newham of Hazlehurst; Three Grandsons, Kody and Taylor Waters, Gage Waters and Ridge Richardson all of Hazlehurst; Life Long Friend, Pam Davis and several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11:00am at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Brazzell and Rev. Alvin Merritt officiating. Mrs. Waters will lie in state one hour prior to service. The family may be contacted at the residence, 51 Lakeside Drive, Hazlehurst.
