Mr. L.W. Brantley Jr., age 89, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, March 08, 2020 at his residence.

Mr. Brantley was born August 23, 1930 in Jeff Davis County to the late Lott Warren Brantley, Sr. and Alice Lee Herrington Brantley. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a retired farmer and member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Brantley, sisters, Ruby Bland, Gertrude Collins, Opal Ray, Inez Fleming, and Lillie Maude Newham.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Strickland Brantley of Hazlehurst; daughters and sons-in-law, Laura  and Dewey Newton of Statesboro and Robyn and Todd Robertson of Macon; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Pannee Brantley of Hazlehurst; sister, Ethel Mae Hutcheson of Waycross; brother, James Brantley  (Willie Mae) of Hazlehurst; ten grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 12:00-1:00pm and funeral will follow at 1:00pm with Rev. Tyrone Hutchinson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
