Loyd Conley Simmons, age 46 of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, July 20, 2017 in Chatham County. Mr. Simmons was born August 01, 1970 to the late Grady Floyd Simmons and the late Maggie Juanita Barlow Simmons. He was employed with Powell's Trucking and a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Carrie Morrison Simmons of Hazlehurst; daughter, Cherie Simmons of Hazlehurst; Archie Simmons of Hazlehurst; sister, Melanie Simmons of Hazlehurst; two brothers, Roger Simmons of Virginia and Mike Simmons of Hazlehurst; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles also survived. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, visitation at 10:00am and funeral services to follow at 11:00am with Rev. Stan Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Interment will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.
