Mrs. Luby Lucille Pickren McMasters, age 99, of Hazlehurst, died Friday March 02, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. McMasters was born April 25, 1918 in Ware County to the late Elijah Pickren and the late Rosa Lee Rowland Pickren. She was formerly a Motion Picture Theater Operator, designer of clothes and in later years a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husbands, S.T. Maughon and George L. McMasters, sister, Myrtice Graham, brothers, Herbert Pickren, Robert Pickren, Brooks Pickren and Johnny Pickren. Survivors include sisters, Carrie Walker of Jacksonville FL, Bessie Tuten of Cookeville TN, Marion O'Conner (Emmett) of Hazlehurst, Dora Lewis (Avin) of Hazlehurst; brother, George Pickren (Ruby) of Hazlehurst; sister-in-law, Maxine Pickren of Hazlehurst; several special nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great nephew also survived. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 06, 2018 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 10:00AM and funeral service will follow at 11:00Am with Rev. Keith Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the residence of Emmett and Marion O'Conner, 386 Mathis Road, Hazlehurst.
