Luellen Maddox James, age 92 of Hazlehurst, died Monday, August 08, 2016 at Community Hospice in Vidalia. Mrs. James was born April 07, 1924 in Telfair County to the late Candler Livingston and the late Ida Grace Livingston. She was a Loving Wife, Mother and Homemaker and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Edwin (Bud) Harris and Wayne Maddox, sister, Inez Funderburk and brother, Mike Livingston. Survivors include Husband, Carlton James of Hazlehurst; Daughters and Son-in-Laws, Sandra and J.E. Riner of Hazlehurst and Debbie and Leroy (Short) White of Baxley; Step-Daughters and Son-in-Law, Sheila and Burnie Young of Blackshear, Cindy Miller of South Carolina; Step-Son and Daughter-in-Law, Lee and Angela James of Jesup; Sister Edna Dixon of Hazlehurst; Grandchildren, Timmy and Deborah Long, Crystal and Marshall Tompkins, Tina and Keith Crosby and Corey Long; Seven Great-Grandchildren and Four Great-Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Holland and Rev. John Daughtry officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the residence, 20 Violet Circle, Hazlehurst.
