Mr. Malcolm Varnadoe, age 89, of Lumber City, died Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah. Mr. Varnadoe was born July 06, 1929 in Telfair County to the late Clarence Varnadoe and the late Susie Webster Varnadoe. He was retired from the State of Georgia, a business owner, and farmer and is preceded in death by his daughter, Elaine Williams. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Mae Fordam Varnadoe of Lumber City; three daughters, Yvonne Ertzberger of Lumber City, Rhonda Taylor (Carl) of Hazlehurst and Susan Webster (Tommy) of Lumber City; two sons, Mike Varnadoe (Dawn) of Lumber City and Derrick Varnadoe of Lumber City; grandchildren, Craig Wilcox, Chris Wilcox, Danny Smith, Jody Neal, Mollie Jefferys, Ryan Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Hope Webster, Heather Graham and Jaci Varnadoe; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Lumber City Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 3:00pm at Lumber City Methodist Church with Rev. Glenn Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City. The family may be contacted at the residence of Mike and Dawn Varnadoe, 3264 E. River Road, Lumber City.
