Marcus W. Dykes, age 76 of Hazlehurst went to his heavenly home on April 5, 2024.

Mr. Dykes was born in Hazlehurst to the late Mr. Dewey Dykes and Mariah Creamer Dykes. Marcus was a Godly man and loved to read his bible and loved to talk to people about being a Christian. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewy and Mariah Dykes, wife, Johnita Rewis Dykes, brothers, Allen Dykes, Ottis Dykes, Aubrey Dykes, niece, Margaret Weber, and a deceased baby sister.

He is survived by his nephews, Donnie Dykes (Nita) of Rochelle, Wayne Dykes (Missy) of Fitzgerald, Curtis Dykes (Candy) of Fitzgerald, Tony Dykes (Judy) of Fitzgerald, nieces, Sandra Dixon (Donald) of Hazlehurst, Kathy Lightsey (Alvin "Shaver") of Baxley, Gennifer Stevens (Richard) of Hazlehurst, great, and great- great nieces and nephews also survive.

Services for Mr. Dykes will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Hazlehurst Church of God beginning at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Rev. Darrell Hand, Rev. Shon McEachin, Rev. John Nunes will officiate. Rev. Nathan Greer will officiate the committal graveside at Hazlehurst City Cemetery.

Mr. Charles Brantley and Mr. Tony Dykes will perform musical arrangements.

Donnie Dykes, Darrell Hulett, Curtis Dykes, Tony Dykes, Kevin Dykes, and Alvin "Shaver" Lightsey will serve as pall bearers.

In Lieu of flowers the family request monetary donations to help with medical expenses, P.O. Box 1535 Hazlehurst, GA 31539.
