Ms. Margaret Burkhaulter Grantham, age 78, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, May 14, 2018 at Lumber City Nursing Home. Ms. Grantham was born December 16, 1939 in Jeff Davis County to the late Charlton Burkhaulter and the late Phoebe Stapleton Burkhaulter and was a seamstress. She is preceded in death by her daughters, Gail Grantham and Cathy Cannon. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Grantham of Lumber City, Marilyn Covington (John) of Sylvania, Doris Hudson (Tim) of Broxton and Joyce Grantham of Baltimore MD; son and daughter-in-law, Danny Grantham (Katrina) of Broxton; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 1:00pm at Heritage Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Wilcox officiating. Ms. Grantham will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Coffee County.
