Martha Faye Smith Rentz, age 76, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Jeff Davis Hospital. Mrs. Rentz was born December 27, 1941 in Coffee County to the late Lewis Smith and the late Selma Merritt Smith. She was a homemaker and member of Heritage Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Rentz, daughters, Wanda Worth and Mandy Hale and grandson, Ashley Worth. Survivors include daughters, Tammy Davis (Mather), Kathy McDuffie and Cheryl Hinson; granddaughter, Heather Carter; son, Danny Rentz; sisters, Shirley Stankowitz, Margaret Garrett, Mildred Nall; brother, Donny Wayne Smith; seven grandchildren, Jake Davis, Anjel Worth, Jesse Davis, Britney Selph, Beth Smith, Candace Nichols and Patty Land; fourteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Heritage Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Heritage Baptist Church at 11:00am with Rev. Ronnie Wilcox, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the residence, 11 Trent Cook Lane, Hazlehurst.
