Mary Edith Thornton Hughes, age 79, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Memorial University Medical Center. Mrs. Hughes was born August 16, 1935 in Jeff Davis County to the late George Washington Parlor and the late Myrtice Carter Parlor. She was a native of Jeff Davis County, a Homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Horace Thornton and Bonnie Hughes.
