Mary Nelson Jones, age 81, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, March 16, 2015 at Community Hospice in Vidalia. Mrs. Jones was born November 11, 1933 in Bacon County to the late Cicero Nelson and the late Idella Taylor Nelson. She was a retired Lab-Tech with Hazlehurst Mills and a member of Cedar Crossing Baptist Church and former member of Grace Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Edward Jones. Survivors include Three Daughters, Rindy Head of Oak Park, Vicki Scott of Uvalda and Tammy Murray of Uvalda; Three Sons, Timmy Jones of Uvalda, Kenny Jones of Hazlehurst and Jimmy Jones of Uvalda; Sixteen Grandchildren and 27 Great-Grandchildren also survived. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 11:00AM at Cedar Crossing Baptist Church with Rev. Reece Mincey officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hazlehurst. Mrs. Jones will be placed in the church one hour prior to service. Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements for Mary Nelson Jones, age 81, of Hazlehurst.
