Mattie Lee Hearn Thompson, age 98, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, December 09, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Thompson was born May 13, 1920 in Wheeler County to the late Peter Peacock Hearn and the late Rosa Lee Sears Thompson. She was a housewife and member of Shiloh Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack (Jab) Thompson and sons, Leroy Thompson and Jack Thompson. Survivors include her daughters, JoAnn Harrell, Joyce Wood, Betty Jean (Randy) Lilliott, Maxine (Keith) Igou and Sandra Armour; sixteen grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survived. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 1:00pm-2:00pm and funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Glenn Stinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the residence of her daughter JoAnn Harrell, 1027 Uvalda Hwy., Hazlehurst.
